Booking an appointment
You can book directly in our online calendar, or call us on +41 22 781 47 60.
The first appointment is a conversation. I examine your situation, you tell me what bothers you, and we take a first digital iTero scan. You leave with my opinion on what is possible in your case. This first visit and this first scan are not charged.
When booking, say whether the appointment is for a child, a teenager or an adult, and which location suits you. That allows us to allow the right amount of time.
Three locations, different days
The main practice is in Geneva. I also hold consultations at two partner dental practices on fixed days. Check which location suits you before booking.
| Location | Address | When I am there |
|---|---|---|
| Geneva | Rue Micheli-du-Crest 20, 1205 Geneva | Monday to Thursday, 08:00 to 17:00 |
| Satigny | Cabinet Dentaire de Satigny, Route d’Aire-la-Ville 229 | 4 times a month, 2 Mondays and 2 Wednesdays |
| Nyon | Cabinet Portenier-Karatsaidis, Chemin de Précossy 9 | 3 times a month, 2 Thursdays and 1 Friday |
In Geneva an assistant remains reachable over the lunch break, between 12:00 and 13:00.
For Satigny and Nyon, confirm the exact day when you book. The dates vary from month to month.
Waiting times
A first consultation is usually available sooner than a treatment appointment, because it takes less chair time.
We keep to the schedule. An orthodontic review takes as long as it needs to take, and the day is planned so that the three o’clock appointment starts at three o’clock. When an emergency shifts the day, we telephone you rather than leave you waiting in the practice.
If your situation cannot wait, call and say so. A detached retainer wire or a broken aligner is dealt with quickly.
Payment
Invoices list each item separately. If a line is not clear, call us and we will explain it.
Methods accepted: cash, credit card, bank transfer.
Instalments: a deposit of CHF 800 to CHF 1,800 is required at the start of treatment, to cover laboratory fabrication of the aligners. The balance is then settled monthly, with no fees and no interest. We agree the amount and the duration together, before treatment begins.
Insurance: we will draw up the quote in the format your insurer requires if you tell us. If you hold international cover, send us your conditions and we will tell you what is likely to be reimbursed. International dental policies cover adult orthodontics more often than Swiss supplementary cover does, and sometimes on better terms.
Full details of our fees are published on this site.
Languages
Consultations are held in English, French or German, whichever you prefer. Say which when you book.
A large share of my patients are part of Geneva’s international community, and treatment decisions are difficult enough without a language barrier on top.
Moving to Geneva mid-treatment
Patients arrive here partway through a treatment started elsewhere. Bring what your previous orthodontist can provide: the treatment plan, the most recent radiographs, and if you are in aligner treatment, the remaining sets. I will tell you whether the plan can be continued or needs revising.
